My husband currently owns a home, mortgaged, but I am trying to get a mortgage on my own for our primary residence. I know when I go it alone they will not count his income or assets but will his having a mortgage work against me trying to get a USDA loan? A broker said yes a private bank said no. Help!! I dont want to get my hopes up until I know that this will not affect me

      Kevin,

Why would you choose a USDA loan over a VA loan?

Lower interest rates maybe? I am working on getting a USDA Direct loan. The VA loan will be my fall back plan should it not work out getting the USDA direct.

IS it lawful to purchase 2-3 homes using seveal USDA loans. First time buyer status would apply as long as they all closed on the same day.
